FRUGI
The fantastic children’s label FRUGI stems from Cornwall in Great Britain.
Children love this wonderful design with the big sew-on patches. The clothes from FRUGI are made out of 100% fair trade bio-cotton. This cotton is much softer than usual cotton and chemical free.
Fair wages and good working conditions are insured for the farmers in India who grow and harvest the cotton. Child labour is prevented due to the regularly led controls by FRUGI. Every member of staff, who works forFRUGI, is 19 years of age or older. FRUGI clothing is produced in various factories in India, Turkey and Portugal.
FRUGI regularly donates 1% of the revenue to different relief projects in the world.
FRUGI clothes are always slightly too large at purchase. However they should fit after the first wash.
The reason: the bio-cotton has not been treated with chemical additives, commonly used as shrinkage protection on cotton. This makes FRUGI suitable for sensitive baby and children skin.
Certified by Global Organic Textile Standard and Control Union (formally SKAL).
